Chinese astrology indicates the Year of the Ram isn’t until 2015. However, the 2009 Dodge Ram begs to differ. The new Ram edges out the competition with unmatched ride quality, power and loads of space. For 2009, the Ram gains increased power, a rear suspension setup featuring coil springs and a first-class interior with new storage systems.

The 2009 Dodge Ram is a muscular, full-size pickup that’s best suited to those who want full-size truck functionality without any shortcomings in comfort and convenience. Consumer Guide says, “The new Ram makes news for impressive comfort, creative storage options and abundant power.” This accomplished ride won Motor Trend’s “Best Pickup Driver’s Choice” award and was an “Editor’s Choice” for Car and Driver.

The Ram comes in base ST, SLT, TRX, sporty R/T and Laramie trims. It’s available in Regular Cab, Quad Cab, Crew Cab and Mega Cab configurations with a short or long bed, in two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The base ST is available in Regular and Quad Cab styles while the SLT comes in all cab styles. The Sport Package R/T is available with all cab styles while the TRX and Laramie trims come in Quad Cab and Crew Cab configurations. The 2009 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 heavy-duty pickups are available in three cab styles – Regular, Quad Cab and Mega Cab. The Regular Cabs come with a long bed only. The Regular Cab is available in ST or SLT trims, the Quad Cab is available in ST, SLT and Laramie trims and the Mega Cab is SLT or Laramie only.
